It was released in late 2004, 2005, and 2006, and published for the PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. The game is a successor to Ford Racing 2, and a spin-off game was made by Sega called Ford Racing: Full Blown, with the same cars, music and tracks for arcade. Ford Racing 3 includes 55 different types of Ford vehicles that are available to race with 26 different tracks, with 12 of them only available for Off-Road class[1]. To date, it is the most infamous game in the Ford Racing series.

Ford Racing 3 features 55 different Ford vehicles (25 new Ford vehicles, 30 already from Ford Racing 2) in the PC, PS2 and Xbox versions, categorised into 5 different classes: Vintage, Classic, Modern Performance and Off-Road. In each class, at the start will be one car for Classic (1968 Ford Mustang), Off-Road (1998 Ford F-150 4x4), Performance (2005 Air Force Reserve Ford Focus) and Modern (1999 Ford Racing Puma). Other cars will needed to be unlocked in Ford Challenges or Ford Competitions.
The game also features the two first affordable Ford cars made, the 1923 Ford Model T Sedan and the 1931 Ford Model A Roadster.[2] There were some cars that were added in later versions such as the Ford GT Concept and the 2005 Ford Mustang GT.
Racetracks[]
- Main article: Racetracks
The game has 26 different racetracks. Meanwhile, the racetracks are divided into 5 categories where each track are in the same location or nearby the location where they take place. The categories are; Pacific Drive, Arctic Breeze, Colonial Run, Asuka Battle and Raceways.[3] All of them have 6 tracks in them, 3 normal ones and three reverse tracks of the same one, except for Raceways which only has Oval and Racetrack (a longer version of Oval). Pacific Drive and Arctic Breeze are only exclusive to the Off-Road class, whereas Off-Road vehicles are allowed race on any racetracks.
Trivia[]
- The in-game files for the PC version state that the game actually has 56 vehicles instead of 55. The unknown 56th vehicle is the 2003 Ford Visos Concept.
- Additionally, 3 unknown racetracks as well as 5 unknown race types can be found in the early versions of the game but were later removed in the final release.
