The Ford GT Concept (also known as the Ford GT40 Concept) is an unlockable vehicle in the Performance class, which can be unlocked in Ford Competition mode in the PC, PS2, Xbox and DS versions. In the GBA version, it can be unlocked in Ford Challenge mode instead. The car is a 2-door, mid-engine sports car, built as a concept that was intended to be Ford's flagship supercar. It also serves as a tribute to the original Ford GT40 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans during the early 1960s. The car officially entered production in 2004, making it the first generation of the Ford GT line-up before it was succeeded in 2016.
In the game, the car is arguably one of the best overall in its class in terms of performance due to having a high top speed, high acceleration and good handling. The only possible flaw it has is that it can easily lose control when it lands from high jumps. The best way to avoid this is to slow down before crossing them.
