The 2002 Ford Taurus Stock Car is an unlockable vehicle in the Performance class, which can be unlocked in Ford Competition mode. The car is a stock car version of the regular, fourth generation Ford Taurus 4-door saloon. It was built for use in stock car racing, most notably in NASCAR, with typical characteristics such as a roll cage, wide tires and prominent racing liveries. As such, it also lacks functioning headlights and taillights.

The Taurus has one of the fastest top speed and acceleration, but is beaten by the 1995 Ford GT90 Concept. However, it suffers from delayed steering, stiff handling, and understeer.

Trivia[]

  • Since this is a stock racing car, it is the only car in the game where the player will not be able to see the car's headlights or taillights turned on in night-time racetracks such as City Highway.
  • The livery "eJay" is based on Empire Interactive's own music maker software of the same name.
  • The in-game files state that this car has the highest approximate top speed, at a value of 200.0.
