The 1985 Ford RS200 is an unlockable vehicle in the Off-Road class, which can be unlocked in Ford Competition mode in the PC, PS2 and Xbox versions. In the GBA version, it can be unlocked in Ford Challenge mode instead. The car is a 2-door sports coupe that was designed to compete in rally racing, such as the Group B rally, hence its off-road designation.
While the RS200 has quick acceleration and the best handling rating in its class, its actual performance is to the contrary for the latter. Although it has responsive steering, the lack of grip means it will start sliding at the slightest provocation on off-road tracks. For on-road tracks, this manifests as severe understeer even on shallow corners. Furthermore, its small size, low weight, and short suspension travel means that it is susceptible to losing control from the rear wheels rebounding on bumps.
